About us

We're Damian and Tara Amuso, the husband-and-wife team behind DAT Tools and Team Amuso. Bricklayers, industry advocates and passionate supporters of the bricklaying and masonry industry, we're proud to call regional Victoria home.

With more than 27 years of experience in the trade, Damian has built everything from architectural homes and custom residences to commercial masonry projects. Together, we've proudly represented Australia three times at the international Spec Mix Bricklayer 500 in Las Vegas, where Tara made history as Australia's first female mason tender to compete. Those experiences have given us the opportunity to work alongside some of the world's best bricklayers, masons and manufacturers, bringing new ideas, innovation and inspiration back to Australia.

DAT Tools was created from one simple belief: the best bricklaying tools are designed by the people who use them every day.
 

Every product starts with a real problem we've experienced ourselves on site. From there, we design, test, refine and use each tool in real working conditions before it ever reaches another tradesperson's toolbox. If it doesn't genuinely save time, improve efficiency or make the job easier, it doesn't become a DAT Tools product.

Innovation has always been at the heart of what we do. From our patented DAT Brick Bolster Pro, suitable for bricklayers, blocklayers, landscapers and apprentices, to our patented WeepEase™, our Roll Jointers, Barrel Jointers and the products we're continually developing behind the scenes, every tool is created with one goal in mind: helping tradespeople work smarter while producing exceptional brickwork and masonry.
